About me
My name is Edith López Estrada, I am a queer, non-binary, mixed-race Mexican-American cultural organizer and creative. I enjoy creating murals, painting with acrylic on canvas, building altars as ritual, taking photographs, and developing digital collages. I began creating art as a practice to sustain my physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental health.
About my art
My art is inspired by my analysis of our connections, especially those that demand we get to the root of the problem and heal. Through art I seek to create new worlds, new ways of engaging, new ways of being. It's a call for personal healing, transformative justice, and collective liberation.

I create art for my loved ones, communities, ancestors, plantitas, animals, Earth, and Spirit. In my art you will often find references to ancestral practices, like chandelier-making, curanderismo, and tending the land through flower cultivation and agricultural work.

When you purchase my art, you are not only supporting me as an artist, you are also investing in my communities. Together we will be supporting community members, mutual aid efforts, and organizations doing liberation work. I will be distributing 90% of each sale to LGBTQIA+, Immigrant, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. List of organizations and distributions are available upon request for transparency.
